“If our hopes of building a better and safer world are to become more than wishful thinking, we will need the engagement of volunteers more than ever.”

- Kofi Annan 7th Secretary-General of the United Nations

With our current rescues and programmes we have reached our maximum capacity and are currently turning horses and ponies away as we simply cannot take any more in until we have enough financial assistance to do so.

We are completely self-funding with no financial assistance from the South African Government. We rely solely on the generosity of individuals, businesses and corporate entities to assist us in lightening the financial load that comes with running an organisation of this nature.

The Haven Lucky Shoe 200 Campaign will assure us R50 000 in donations per month to cover our running costs. Just 200 Lucky Shoes @ R250 each. Allowing attention to be given to the bigger picture of helping our rescued champions heal and help heal the children.

Because of our monthly operating shortfall, The Haven continually faces financial pressure. This focuses our attention away from much-needed program development and wellbeing of our rescued champions. If we are assured of R50 000 in donations per month through The Haven Lucky Shoe 200 Campaign, we can keep our attention to the organisations bigger picture and purposes.
